New School Curriculum

A new curriculum is being developed for settings and schools in Wales. The curriculum will be available by April 2019 for feedback. A final version will be available in January 2020, and will be used throughout Wales by 2022.

Extended Pupil Development Grant to reach well beyond the classroom

Parents in Wales will soon be able to access a new £1.7m fund to help cover the cost of school uniforms, school sports kit and for wider activities such as scouts and guides and sports outside of school.

Welsh Government Evaluation report on capacity building approaches to support the delivery of English as an additional language in Wales

The independent research, commissioned by the Welsh Government and produced by the People and Work Unit, involved discussions with 8 local authority Ethnic Minority Achievement Services (EMAS) and 5 schools, with varying EAL needs, and invited comments from all service providers across Wales.
