Academic Achievement Ethnicity and EAL

The most recent WAG figures on academic achievement by pupil characteristics are now out.

They show some very interesting, and some curious, trends between KS1-3 for EAL Stages but it is clear that a good proportion of pupils assessed as 'fluent' Stage E are achieving well by KS4, more than for those who are not considered to be EAL learners. However, some of the ethnicity attainment figures continue to show worrying trends for certain backgrounds.

Also, the 'Many Voices One Wales' DVD produced by WAG now has video extracts published on the web. See the Links in the top menu bar.
